Business acquisition announcement
The Berner Group is strengthening its position in the Nordic turf sector by acquiring the operations of Indigrow AB in Sweden and Indigrow AS in Norway. The turf sector includes professional turf products for golf courses, football fields and landscaping areas. The acquisition was completed on April 24, 2025.
Berner has been a long-time distributor of Indigrow products in Finland and the Baltics. With this acquisition, Berner expands its distribution network to Sweden and Norway as well. At the same time, the personnel, warehouses, and customer accounts of Indigrow AB and AS will transfer to Berner’s ownership.
Operations in all countries will continue as normal throughout 2025. Customer orders and deliveries will proceed without interruption, and the transition has been planned to be smooth for customers, suppliers, and other stakeholders during the peak season.
As a result of the acquisition, a new Nordic business unit, Berner Turf, will be established, led by Business Manager Saila Innanen. The organization will consist of a product management unit covering the entire Nordic region, as well as sales divided into Finland & the Baltics and Scandinavia. Operations will be supported by the joint back-office functions of Berner and Berner’s Swedish subsidiary, Bröderna Berner.
